VTCT Level 3 Indian Head Massage

This course is a comprehensive academic and practical study of traditional Indian Head massage. On completion of this course successful students will be awarded a professional certificate and advice on obtaining insurance in order to perform this therapy on paying clients.

Indian Head massage is a deeply relaxing massage and can be performed either through the clothes or on skin using oils. It involves using massage techniques to the head, neck, face, shoulders and upper back.

This course is offered as:

A fast track course, which is 3 days and an exam to suit you, once coursework is complete

Entry requirements

An Introduction certificate in Swedish massage or similar is advisable an A&P certificate would be helpful

Your course includes:

The history of Indian Head massage including the academic and practical study of the benefits and effects of this therapy.
Health, safety and Hygiene
Related anatomy and physiology
You will learn the importance of recognizing contraindications to a therapy.
Preparation of the work area consultation, record keeping and medical referral.
Your experienced tutor will advise you of a full massage routine
You will have the opportunity to perform full massage routines.
The course includes the study of after care of your clients
You will be given a full course folder included in this course to refer to as you practice this massage and undertake your case studies as part of your assessed course work.
You will receive a professional certificate that will allow you to acquire insurance and perform this therapy on paying clients.
