Hot Stone Therapy Workshop
This course involves massage techniques using hot and cold stones. This deeply relaxing treatment is extremely popular in industry. A centre certificate will be awarded. Our hot stones course is a great add on course for therapists in the Manchester and Cheshire areas.
You will study with us for one day and will need to wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Please let us know on application if you are not willing to receive massage during the day course.
Entry requirements
It is important that applicants of this course already hold a level 3 certificate in Swedish Massage and Anatomy and Physiology.
Your course includes:
- The history of hot and cold stone massage including the academic and practical study of the benefits and effects of this therapy.
- You will learn the importance of recognizing contraindications to a therapy.
- Related anatomy and physiology
- Benefits and effects of this therapy on the body
- Preparation of the work area.
- Consultations, record keeping & medical referral, health, safety & hygiene
- Your experienced tutor will advise you of a full hot stone massage routine.
- You will have the opportunity to perform a full massage.
- The course includes the study of after care of your clients
- Our excellent facilities will give you the best examples of how to conduct an exceptional therapy.
- You will be given a full course folder included in this one day workshop to refer to as you practice this massage.
- You will receive an Aqua Rosa certificate.
